The QRPGuys CLV Antenna kit is center loaded vertical antenna resonant on 40m and can be used up to 30MHz with a tuner. It can be set up in minimal time with threaded sections, has a variety of mounting options from a simple spike to a tripod alternative, and breaks down to 12” for easy storage in the 2″x4″x12″ box you received the kit in. The antenna base provides for a simple counterpoise to a more extensive radial  array if desired. A female BNC is provided for connection to your coax. There are provisions for light guying in adverse conditions for a stable platform.

The assembly tools required are, an electric drill, 3/32” drill bit, 6-32 tap, phillips screwdriver, pliers, soldering iron, solder. It can easily be assembled in about an hour. On a difficulty scale of 1 to 5, 5 being the most difficult, this is rated at 2.
