This kit is all you need for a plug in microphone to go with the ultra portable transceivers like the (tr)uSDX. It uses a sensitive Hi-Z electret microphone element. It has all the components and only requires some soldering and easy mechanical assembly. The microphone is terminated with a 3.5mm female jack that can be configured on the pcb for the PTT and MIC connections to either the ring or tip connection. All that is needed for connection to your transceiver is a commonly available male/male 3.5mm stereo jumper cable. Common assembly tools are needed, and this kit can be built in less than an hour. On a difficulty scale of 1 to 5, 5 being the most difficult, this is rated at 1 or 2, depending on your experience.
